Just a Small update on LAD

I just wanted to post a small screen of the work in progress. It's not much, but it's all I have done as of now so it'll have to do.

I think the artwork here is tons better than my older efforts, let me know what you think.

Oddly enough fits with Life After Death's plot line.

P.O.T.I is now 95 percent completed. expect it out by the tenth. I'm really liking how this one turned out. (read my other posts for more information.)

This means that Life After Death will be underway. No more writing for now, but I do have an early screen of the opening scene. I'm going to put a lot of time into this, when it's in full force, don't expect it out for a while.

Sorry for the wait.

I just wanted to make this quick post to let you all know I'm still alive.

As far as LAD goes, It's on hold until prior obligations (POTI and another project) have been taken care of.

POTI itself is doing quite well at the moment. If it will be done in sprites, it will be completed shorty, If the sprites prove to be too limited to work with, it will take longer to get out there, as I've got to make vector models of the sprites.

On an unrelated note, to those of you here who are familiar with Adam Phillips (should be everyone here) I strongly suggest you take a look at his guide to all things flash, which can be found right here;

Check out the first two chapters, they're free, and look through them. I learned something from each of them that'll really help out with LAD.

I haven't gotten a chance to buy "Chapter 3: Graphics for Animation" as of yet, but I will do it soon. (I'm sure anyone reading this won't wait on my say so to buy it..just do it, I say!)

I've thrown in one of the vector models from POTI, Let me know what you think of it.

LAD update.

Just a rather small update on Life After Death.

Things are going along fairly well on the project. I've made the animation test to my liking which means the project itself is within my limits, and I'm currently in process of making a script, though I've decided that it will, in fact, be a toon instead of a game like I had originally planned it to be.

I'll answer any questions people may have on the project, also, get in touch if you feel you'd be willing to help out. I currently need someone to make music for this one, and a few voice actors.

I can't afford to pay anyone so it is strictly voluntary, only help at your own desire alone

I've included more of my writhings on Evermore as a world as well as the exerpt from my last post, also a still from the animation test, if you'll look at my last two posts, there are more images and more information on the project as well.

A Note on the world of Evermore
Evermore can be described as our concept of the "afterlife", though it is far different than we might believe, the world of Evermore, at first glace of the tombstones, may seem to be the end of all living things. But looks can be deceiving. As much as Evermore is the resting place of souls, it is also here they are re-awakened. Newly dead, a once living creature is quick to decay and will soon lose its physical form, leaving behind the energy of life itself, that which we have come to call a Soul. The Soul, now free, will roam the world they once lived until they can pass back into their origin, Evermore. Souls passed into Evermore after death are sent to other worlds as newborn life, keeping the flow of life constant and never ending.

If a soul can not pass into Evermore, it cannot re enter a world as new life. There are instances in which a soul may not be able leave it's place of death due to strong worldly attachment.
In these cases, the soul will begin to show these attachments by taking on the features of the body it once inhabited, and continue to roam its world, having become what we know to be a Ghost. Once a soul has become a ghost, it becomes consumed and tainted by its worldly attachment, and may begin to taint the pure souls around it, but loses its ability to return to Evermore, and is essentially harmless, as most souls pass into Evermore moments after the loss of their bodies, leaving them virtually untouchable by ghosts.

Life After Death

Okay, I've had a few weeks to work on my project, the working title being "Life After Death"
things are coming along very nicely, I've written most of my script and notes on the world which this takes place.

here's a small excerpt from one of the papers I wrote;

I've included a framework shot of an animation test I'm doing, just for kicks.

I need several things for this one, I'll need a composer, Unfortunately who needs to be a volunteer, but maybe one of the good people from the audio portal can help me out?

Voice actors, not sure exactly how many yet. I'll post more on that as it comes.

And most importantly, someone to critique my work. I'm still developing ideas and could use help.

As for POTI (read my previous post) the project is on hold until the author has time to work on it with me, though it will be made as soon as possible.

By the way, Zelt's got a slightly different model, but that's for a later post.

Just wanted to post an update on Final Fantasy 8-bit.

Things are going along slower than expected, my projected date has been passed, but I think thats because of all the writing involved in this toon (lip-synching is really annoying!)

anyway, This toon, in comparision to my other three (two that I'm counting, the W+B thing was an epic FAIl.), Is a lot more well written. I think my attempts at comedy are pretty good, I've tried to make it funny even for those who have never read a page of 8-bit theatre, while writing in all of the classics from the series, I'll let you all be the judge of that.

I'm not going to post a specific completion date, I'm almost never true to those. Just know that It shouldbe done within the year. (don't freak out, this is December, people.)

This is one of the scenes from my work in progress ; about a minute and 3 seconds in.

Those of you who've read the script..okay, I should say CrountonsOfDeath, will get which scene this is from, the rest will have to wait it out 'till I'm done procrastinating..erm.. working.!

Which by the way, An additional thanks to you, CrutonsOfDeath, for the help with voice acting. Couldn't have pulled Red Mage off without you.

PS: Kudos to those who can read the title of Red Mage's book.(doubt it, but it will be legible in the toon) I figure it's something he'd be interested in.
